While eligible students can be admitted to any campus of UC, Moorpark College has a Transfer Admissions Guarantee program that has special transfer admission agreements with several UC Campuses. For more information, visit the TAG website.
The Transfer Admissions Guarantee (TAG) guarantees admissions to one of six UC campuses (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, or Santa Cruz) if you meet their admissions criteria. Follow the four steps below and secure your UC TAG.
1. Choosing your campus
Before you apply, figure out where you want to go. Check out our TAG matrix for a full list of the campuses in the program, and their individual requirements.
2. Complete your TAG application
Use our Transfer Admission Planner to fill out your TAG application. If you have a community college counselor, review it with them. Don’t worry if you don’t—we have our own UC TAG advisors who can help you out. You’ll need to submit by September 30th for the fall term, or May 31st for the winter/spring term. Remember, if you miss the TAG deadline, you can still apply to UC during the regular application period (October 1–December 1).
3. Fulfill all your requirements
Once your application’s submitted, you’ll need to complete all your remaining coursework, and hit the GPA requirements in your TAG agreement.
4. Submit your UC application
When you’re on track for all of the above, fill out the application for admission to UC. Make sure you submit your application between October 1–December 1 for the fall term and between July 1-31 for the winter/spring term.

UC Davis offers a bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science and a bachelor's degree in Clinical Nutrition for transfer students interested in careers in nutrition and dietetics (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist), health, public health, nutrition education or nutrition research. Both of our nutrition majors are also excellent backgrounds for pre-health professional programs such as Medical School, Physician Assistant programs, and nursing graduate programs.
Our Clinical Nutrition major is now the only accredited undergraduate Didactic Program in Dietetics in the UC system as UC Berkeley discontinued their dietetics program in 2023.
NOTE: The path to becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) changed in 2024. The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) now requires a minimum of a master’s degree to be eligible to take the credentialing exam to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). Students can complete our undergraduate Clinical Nutrition degree and then enter a combined master’s and dietetic internship. Students who pursue a science degree can apply to a Coordinated Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics, which includes the supervised practice hours (dietetic internship).
You will find additional information for prospective transfer students on our website https://nutrition.ucdavis.edu/academics/undergrad/transfer-students , along with printable pdfs of the enclosed flyers labeled “Clinical Nutrition Major Info” and “Nutrition Major Info” on the webpage.

Welcome! We’re excited that you’re interested in becoming a Bruin. This page will take you through the basics and lead you to the detailed information you need.
Beginning Your Application
You may apply for admission as a transfer if you meet the following criteria:

Note: You cannot disregard your college record and apply as a freshman. We do not accept applications from students seeking second baccalaureate degrees.
To begin the application process, use the University of California's online application (UC Application).
Admission Considerations and Requirements
When it comes to reviewing transfer applicants, we carefully balance consideration of the full range of faculty-approved criteria to gain a complete sense of each student’s achievements. Some factors are more easily quantifiable than others.
Good preparation and a strong academic performance make you a more competitive candidate during the admission review process. We consider the following criteria:
